Youth engagement through the Youth Empowerment and Support Team (EAST) is the heart and soul of the coalition’s work. Research shows that connection to peers is a powerful protective factor against risky behavior, including substance use. When we connect youth to youth, we can make a real change in our community. Youth driving prevention work in our local community is the secret to our success.

Other Youth-Serving Organizations

Through partnerships with the Juvenile Justice Department, East Idaho Group Homes, Youth Crisis Centers, YMCA, Scouting, and a variety of other like-minded youth-serving organizations, CYA can collaborate efforts across the region to ensure that we are all working on identifying gaps and overlaps in services throughout the community.
