Support Groups

Participating in a LIV Teen Center support group allows you to be with people who are likely to have a common purpose and likely to understand one another. The benefits of participating in a support group may include feeling less lonely, isolated, or judged and reducing distress, depression, anxiety, or fatigue. Current LIV Center groups include:

  • EmpowHERment – EmpowHERmet is a safe space for young females to build camaraderie and support one another. This group fosters self-empowerment and mutual encouragement. Develop lifelong skills, gain confidence, and empower others through mentorship and collaboration.
  • Bright Lights – Bright Lights is a welcoming LGBTQ+ support club, providing a safe space for teens.  Embracing diversity, the club fosters understanding, acceptance, and meaningful connections. Through open discussions and community outreach, teens promote awareness and equality, standing together under the bright lights of acceptance and love. Join us in illuminating the path toward a more inclusive future.
  • LifeSkills – The Botvin LifeSkills Training (LST) High School program is a highly interactive, skills-based program designed to promote positive health and personal development for youth in grades 9 or 10. A study in the World Journal of Preventative Medicine found that this program cuts drug abuse in half by helping adolescents navigate the challenges of their high school years and preparing them for the independence and responsibilities that they will encounter as young adults.
